Where is Abingdon located?

This town may be small but it retains its community-driven neighborhood feel and there is always something to do. You're also never too far away from large events in bigger cities including Bel Air and Baltimore.

The local Abingdon government prides itself on community and regularly provides planned events as well as several city organizations. It is easy to find a locally run restaurant or store that you can quickly fall in love with and make your regular neighborhood stop. Just showing up a couple of times at your favorite local restaurant will be the beginning of getting to know neighbors in your community.

If you enjoy getting outdoors and all of the natural beauty that Maryland has to offer you will love Abingdon as well. Abingdon is home to the Anita C Leight Estuary Center. It is a popular spot for kayaking, canoeing, and pontoon boating, and is a great hiking spot. For staying active during the winter you can layer on those parkas and hit the estuary center or you can check out Ice World which is a popular spot for all of Central Maryland for its two NHL-sized ice rinks. Ice World has been a recreation staple in Central Maryland for over 20 years.

Abingdon has increased in desirability as a place to live for its nicely sized homes at a more affordable price point just outside of larger and more bustling areas. Abingdon is popular for its single-family homes mostly three and four-bedroom layouts.
